Layout Builder | Guideline for new Projects

  • Create options for layout builder - /admin/config/content/layout_builder_style

    • Create the ‘Groups’, then the individual ‘Styles’

      • Space examples being: pading-top, padding-bottom

      • Style examples being ‘background-blue, background-red, background-pattern’

  • Do not add any top or bottom margin/padding to individual blocks

    • Always add via the section styles (layout builder editing interface)

    • On mobile, add spacing to the columns themselves, not the components

  • Define what the ‘max-width’ is of the main content

    • Review whatever content is go into the 4 / 3 / 2 / 1 columns

      • Determine what breakpoints are to be used (when the columns should unstack - mobile → desktop mindset)
