The information below is either outdated, or no longer considered best practice at Kalamuna.

Kalamuna no longer uses this tool

Drupal Remote Dashboard is our new tool to monitor for security and other problems on Kalamuna’s sites.

The address for the site that manages this is: http://live-kalastatus.at.kalamuna.com/ (user kala pw kala)

To collect or update information on a site

  1. Go to Domains page (/drd/domains) or just the Kalamuna icon in the top left corner

  2. Select the checkbox for the domain you wish to collect information for

  3. In Action pull down select “Collect Information” and then “Apply”

  4. Run Cron (highlight icon in top left and choose “Run Cron”

View information for a particular site

The collected information will be shown on the specific page for that site. Click the name of the site to go to that page (the “EECS at UC Berkeley” title in the screenshot above).

A variety of security and other information is shown on that page:

Add a New Site

  1. The Drupal DRD Agent module must be installed and enabled on the site to be monitored.

(note I included the domain name in the title as well although you don’t strictly have to do this)

  6. For Host choose Pantheon or whatever host the site is on.

  7. Click save at the bottom.

  8. Make sure you are logged in at the site to be monitored (such as https://eecs.berkeley.edu)

  9. Click the word “token” to copy the token to your clipboard

  10. Click “click here” to be taken to the screen to enter the token by pasting.

  11. Paste the token into the field and click validate.

  12. Click “grant admin access” to complete the process.

  13. Go eat ice cream, you’ve earned it.
